What is Volunteer Services?
Volunteer Services at St. Joseph Hospital places committed people in volunteer roles at
St. Joseph Hospital and Dupont Medical Center (2510 Medical Office Building in the Dupont Medical Park). Volunteers provide vital services and enjoy the satisfaction that comes from assisting with and supporting the program in a healthcare setting.

Why volunteer?
Volunteering is more than serving the community and sharing your time and talent with others. It's like being part of a family of caring people, dedicated to the healing missions of our facilities. Volunteers perform many challenging and rewarding duties. They serve as a link between staff members and patients by providing direct patient services and supporting staff who deliver high quality medical care. Volunteers typically commit to at least one four-hour shift per week. They are from all walks of life and have a variety of reasons for seeking a volunteer role.

Benefits include the potential for improved health and attitude, a meal on the day worked, award pins, volunteer recognition, new friendships, discount movie tickets and the satisfaction of learning while helping others.
