Image Safely Campaign
Children are more sensitive to radiation than adults. That’s why Lutheran Children’s Hospital and Lutheran Hospital adjust radiation levels to the smallest dose needed for an adequate image. This “image gently” approach is used for CT, nuclear medicine, fluoroscopy and neonatal port X-rays. Visit imagegently.org for more information about the national campaign of which Lutheran participates. Lutheran’s emergency department also features pediatric-friendly emergency rooms to help young patients feel more comfortable.
