Girls' lacrosse clinic aims to introduce new sport to area 3rd- through 8th-graders

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Sept. 21, 2016) – A sport that’s growing in popularity locally will be on display this weekend at Indiana Tech. The Girls’ Youth Lacrosse Clinic for students in grades three through eight will take place Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Warrior Athletic Field, 1600 E. Washington Blvd. The cost is $25. No equipment is necessary. Sticks, goggles and mouth guards will be provided.

Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m. Skills training will take place from 10 to noon and practice games are planned from noon to 1 p.m. Parents are encouraged to attend.

The Girls’ Youth Lacrosse Clinic is sponsored by the Fort Wayne Lacrosse Association, Indiana Tech and Optimum Performance Sports.
