New COO for St. Joseph Hospital returns to familiar territory
Vince Green is an established member of Lutheran Health Network’s leadership
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Sept. 8, 2016) – St. Joseph Hospital officials today announced Vince Green will become the next chief operating officer effective Sept. 12. Green is very familiar to St. Joe having served there previously as an administrative specialist.
“We are very fortunate to have a young leader like Vince rejoin our administrative team,” said Kenneth Jones, CEO, St. Joseph Hospital. “His familiarity with the hospital, network and community made him the logical choice to oversee our daily operations. Vince is uniquely positioned to hit the ground running.”
Green returned to Fort Wayne in May 2014 to work in an administrative leadership development track at St. Joe. In August 2015, he advanced to assistant CEO at Lutheran Hospital where he oversaw construction projects, environmental services, nutritional services and rehabilitation services including speech, occupational and physical therapy for both inpatients and outpatients.
A Fort Wayne native, Green obtained his master’s in health administration through Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis in 2011. He earned a bachelor’s in business finance from Indiana University Kelley School of Business, Indianapolis, in 2009, and a bachelor’s in biology from Butler University in 2006.
Green received the Indiana Healthcare Executive Network Healthcare Service Award in September 2013 while he completed an administrative fellowship at Community Health Network in Indianapolis.
Green enjoys spending time outdoors, hunting and fishing. He also enjoys time at his family’s farm in southern Indiana. Green is an avid supporter of his alma mater’s basketball team—the Butler Bulldogs.
In addition to being the secretary and treasurer of the Burn Council of Northern Indiana, Green currently serves on the board of directors for Easter Seals Arc Northeast Indiana.
